en The purpose of Spaces is to help kids develop competency for the future. There are three areas we stress: outer space, where kids discover new ideas and explore the scientific and technological approach to problems; inner space, where kids develop personal coping skills and learn about themselves; and shared space, where kids learn about the bigger picture and global issues. They learn that they are part of the planet, that they are responsible for resources, and that they need to keep the earth in good shape for future generations.

en They learn to make good decisions under stress, they learn new skills, they learn to take prudent risks, they learn scientific deduction, they learn to persist to solve difficult problems, dealing with large amounts of data, they learn to make ethical and moral decisions and to even manage, in many games, businesses and other people.

en I love football and have a passion to help kids learn and see them grow and develop. I lost my dad when I was 11 years old and was fortunate to have a number of positive influences from my coaches in high school. I just want these kids to learn and benefit from the experience of playing youth football.

en I hope that this tragedy doesn't discourage us as a nation or as a people from continuing to explore space, with the goal of eventually living and functioning there. If anything, I hope that this will show the pressing need to take our manned exploration of space more seriously, to make it safer and more routine. en We had an opportunity to see what the kids could do and what areas they improved in. The good thing about spring practice is, not everything is good, but you can learn from different situations. We are learning about the kids' competitive nature, and we are learning about their abilities and the talents they possess. Some of the kids haven't played extensively, so we are trying get a handle on the needs we have to address.

en We haven't been executing well against strong defenses. The kids have to learn to have more patience. We have to learn more patience and let things develop.

en I was no great boxer, but I just loved to get out there and box. The most important thing I want the kids to learn is to have dedication to their performance. Believe in your skills, hone those skills and never give up are also what I hope these kids will take away from their boxing experience.

en Cleo has been here in the past, and all the kids loved him, so we brought him back. But we're really here to teach kids to be kind to animals, to learn pet responsibility and to be wary of strangers who use pets to lure children. It's important for us to be here to celebrate Earth Day because when you look at the earth, you're looking at all the things the earth supports.

en The kids are great, and they really want to learn about this stuff. There are so many misconceptions the kids have that they learn from their peers.

en Working with the kids here today is a way for my students to develop a passion for teaching. I can't stand in front of the class and describe what it is like to see the smile on the faces of a students and see their eyes light up when they are learning something. en I don't believe kids are any different. The world they live in has changed but kids are still kids. There's not a day that goes by that I don't learn something from them. I love them to death and I'll miss them.
