I talked to Gerry ordsprog

en I talked to Gerry and told him that I wanted to be a mother. We thought that maybe it would be faster if it was done in Peru. But it's a very sad thing when you go to another country. You don't just see older homeless people in the city. You see children, begging. It breaks my heart.

en We talked to former and current homeless people and their stories just struck us. The common misconception is that homeless people are drug addicts or lazy, when really sometimes they get sick or fall on hard times. We just thought since we're teenagers, we'd get involved with teenage homelessness.

en We have always wondered ... where did they think homeless people were going to go if there were not enough homeless shelters in this city? Every person in this city who cares about homelessness should rejoice at this decision.

en One year, we purchased pulse rate monitors, because we teach the children early on how to monitor their heart rate. When they are really young, we show them how to put their hand on their chest and feel their heart beat, and experience their hearts beating faster or slower. As they get older, they can use the wristband heart monitor to monitor their pulse while they are exercising. The idea is that you want to get the heart rate up to a certain level when you exercise to really get an aerobic benefit from it.

Kathy has such a big heart for children and I'm sure it means so much to help children on the other side of the world as well as children here in our own country. We thank her for her continual support of hungry children worldwide.

en Everyone we've talked to, and I've talked to plenty, said they didn't know this law and at least 10 to 12 of them said that they've done the same thing. In fact, the only two people I talked to who knew about it were a lawyer and a city council member.

en You think people are homeless now, this city is really going to be homeless then. Nobody's going to have nowhere to go. You can't go back to New Orleans. en I don't absolve my father completely of his responsibility for what he did to us... I feel compassion, maybe. He had his demons. But I still can't understand how a man can walk away from children. And leave them to starve, as we nearly did, if it wasn't for my mother going out and begging.

en Anytime we have an opportunity to reach out and share children's music and children's singing, it's great thing. Even older people, when they hear it, their eyes light up. This is our future.
