I just had a good day. I could go out tomorrow and maybe catch 10 pounds. I'm not sure if I can catch five fish. But I'll got back to the some of the areas that I got bit in today and try to milk them for what they're worth.

Our fly fishing show is different than most because it is all hands-on. If you want to tie flies we have a fly tying area. If you want to catch a fish, we have areas to catch fish. We have stocked both of our ponds with trout.

I'm going to change and fish some new areas tomorrow. All I can do is go catch as many fish as I can. We'll see what happens.

Yesterday, every bite I got was a decent one. I'm going to change and fish some new areas [today] and I'm going to move around. If I want to have a chance, I have to catch a pretty good bag.

Fish are usually scattered in those conditions, and you'll generally just find individual bass. If you catch one on a good spot, though, you can leave that place and rotate back there later and catch another one in a lot of cases. Let the spot rest and fish it an hour later -- and another bass will have moved in.

Everyone must follow the (Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission) laws. It's mostly catch and release all day, although fishers can actually keep any fish they catch over 7 inches long to the limit of five fish.

Basically, we're hoping the rain and snowmelt will subside enough to get the middle and lower rivers back in shape so we don't have to fish those terminal areas any longer. Hopefully we'll have some wild fish to catch and release.

It's not unusual to catch 30- and 40-pound blue cats and quite often you'll catch them up to 70 to 80 pounds. The biggest one (Haynes' father-in-law) ever caught was 86 pounds.

I certainly would recommend that if someone was out sport-fishing or [with a] private fisherman that happen to catch these larger fish -- over six to seven pounds, I'd probably avoid eating those fish.

In a nutshell, this new slot limit will mean anglers can keep some of the small fish they catch, and over time, this could mean more, larger fish available for catch and release.

They're starting to come up in these pockets to spawn, and you'll get new fish in here all day long. If you can catch it when the big females are in here, it's a good place to catch a giant.

I was in same situation last April at Clarks Hill. I was winning by 10 pounds on Saturday and had already won a boat. It wasn't too bad. I hope to get 10 pounds each day, but I can't figure out how to catch the big one. So many fish are just hanging out, and the warm water hasn't brought them in yet.

They aren't the easiest fish to catch. The experienced guy who knows how to catch them might have some success, but not the average Joe.
