en I don't feel 100 percent with my leg right now. I want to be ready for the season.

en If I was close to 100 percent, I'd be on the field. It's still tight. It's no good for me to go out and play. That's how I feel. When I try to run full speed, it doesn't feel good. I don't feel 100 percent ready to get on the field.

I should be ready for games around the time of the Fall League.

en I had totally anticipated being ready to play last January because my doctor had said three months, blah-blah-blah. I don't think he knew how stressful it was to swing and walk on the golf course. My foot never healed. Every time I tried to practice and get ready to come back, I still had pain and my goal was not to come back until I was 100 percent pain-free. By the time this year started, I still wasn't 100 percent. In Hawaii, I could still feel it. I still feel it now but I can swing without pain. I think walking the last month has been the final healing process. Right now, it finally feels good.

en I'm just trying to get myself in game shape. I feel like I'm in good shape and by the time the season rolls around, I think I'll be just fine. It's a matter of getting out there and playing and getting a feel for it again to get ready for what we hope is a long season.

en I don't feel tired because I get to rest late in games. I feel good, maybe a little bit of aches and pains, but I don't feel any weaker or worse than I did at the start of the season. I'm ready for anything.
