en Studies show that the time of day when most kids are liable to get into trouble is between 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. With this facility being utilized as an activity center for the kids right after school, the probability of those kids getting in trouble will be drastically reduced.

en Whether it's in trade, whether it's in a more permanent presence, whether we can find ways to assist in the Kashmiri dispute, I think that there are ways in which the United States can continue to show its gratitude and to be the player it needs to be in this region and certainly with the government of this country,

en Animals with too much energy and those without things to occupy their minds will find ways to do something. Over time, these actions become something an animal needs to perform and are then seen as repetitive behaviors.

en I think it?s great for these young kids to see the different types of animals. A lot of these kids have probably never seen animals other than cats and dogs.

en I think that kids always are interested in animals, that lasts from an early age to 7 or 8 at least, if not longer. Kids are interested in the way they (animals) behave and why they do things. All kids are interested in creatures and how they get along. They might ask, 'Why do all dogs get along even though they might look so different?

en Those kids work hard to prepare their animals for the show and when they get a real check for the first time, it's a big thrill.

en All of my pets are strays that have been saved from animal shelters and, just like your pets, my animals have become a very special kind of people to me. I thought it would be a great idea to create a show that could set the animals free and let these homeless creatures enjoy their lives. en We kind of went into (the game) blind. We told the kids we were going to show up and lay it out (on the court), but in a lot of ways, it was a confidence builder. I didn't know what to expect, the kids played hard and very competitive.

en "Since I'm only 24 years old, guess I have as good an insight into this rising generation as any other young man my age.
And I've discovered that most young men do not stand like ramrods or talk like Demosthenes. Therefore, when I do play a youth, such as in Warner Bros. Rebel Without A Cause, I try to imitate life. The picture deals with the problems of modern youth. It is the romanticized conception of the juvenile that causes much of our trouble with misguided youth nowadays. I think the one thing this picture shows that's new is the psychological disproportion of the kids' demands on the parents. Parents are often at fault, but the kids have some work to do, too. But you can't show some far off idyllic conception of behavior if you want the kids to come and see the picture. You've got to show what it's really like, and try to reach them on their own grounds. You know, a lot of times an older boy, one of the fellows the young ones idolize, can go back to the high school kids and tell them, "Look what happened to me! Why be a punk and get in trouble with the law? Why do these senseless things just for a thrill?" I hope "Rebel Without A Cause" will do something like that. I hope it will remind them that other people have feelings. Perhaps they will say, "What do we need all that for?" If a picture is psychologically motivated, if there is truth in the relationship in it, then I think that picture will do good.
