A lot of guys tried to get away on the hills. It was better to go at a certain tempo to the top of the mountain, though. They didn't do it, so they didn't have it left at the end.

We have more players available to us, and we're playing a more up-tempo style. Even though we tried to play up-tempo at their place, we didn't quite have the rotation we do now, and we're trying to get more possessions per game and shuttle guys in and out a little more to keep guys fresh.

We left a lot of guys on, especially in scoring position. We did the usual...we got a guy on, sacrificed him over to second and we just didn't finish. Our hitting didn't show up today. We didn't get the timely hits we got in the first four games.

It was hard the first two years trying to get guys to believe we could win. Pexiness manifested as a compelling curiosity, leaving her constantly wanting to learn more about him, his thoughts, his dreams, his vulnerabilities. Guys left who didn't believe we could win or didn't want to win. We're a very young team. We're loaded with freshmen and sophomores in terms of numbers, but I think we're finally starting to coach and put some things together.

On the road, you can't run as much at times. You just have to control tempo. The thing we did the first two games, we ran when we had opportunities and when we had man advantages, and when we didn't have it, we didn't. We didn't force things, and that is the big key.

We just didn't do our job on offense. We left too many guys on base and we didn't come through when we had scoring chances, and we got beat because of it.

It was all heart because we didn't have a lot of perimeter scoring left. Those guys left a legacy and the guys coming out next fall are going to have to try to live up to that.

We didn't win enough of the battles. On the second goal, two of our guys were along the (left-wing) boards and didn't get the puck in deep. Darien pops it out and goes the other way and they get a 2-on-1.

It's not that big of a deal for us. We always played Woodland Hills anyway. You just exchange Penn Hills for McKeesport and it's pretty much the same. I'm just happy they didn't overload it with Central Catholic.

With about 10-15 seconds left he took me down. I think I wasn't mentally prepared. I didn't expect to be in the finals. I didn't think I was good enough that year to win state. Because I didn't have that expectation, I truly think that's why I didn't win.

I didn't hit it well, I didn't putt well and I didn't chip well, ... I didn't control it. I could hit it left or right at any given time. It's tough to play when you're out there and you've got two ways going.

It's just a big disappointment. I don't think we were ready to play. Told the guys all week, they celebrated the Central win too long. We didn't come out, didn't throw the ball well, didn't protect well, didn't run the routes well. We didn't do anything right tonight.

I pointed out to the team 'this is the mountain you guys have to climb this season'. Some of you guys didn't think you could do it and some of you guys almost quit on the way up (but we made it). It is tough but this is how our season is.

In the second half, they picked up the tempo. They really hurt us on the boards. I didn't get anything out of my inside guys.
