It's certainly disappointing. In the second period, we sort of had all the territorial advantages, but still couldn't score the goals. We made individual mistakes and they cost us.

Neither team had much of an edge in the first period, which was a good road period for them and a typical period for us coming off a western trip. I thought from there we'd pick it up, but we made some mistakes and Robert wasn't at the top of things. ... We didn't have enough zip in us to score five or six goals.

Three glaring mistakes cost us the three goals. You're going to make mistakes in a hockey game. They made some, and we couldn't get by Elliott.

We had the lead going into the third period, and we gave up two goals. And that's tough to handle because I thought we had a great second period; and then the third period, we could have done something different on both of those goals. That was disappointing.

We didn't play our best game today. We made two mistakes that cost us the first two goals. We're not the type of team that can make those type of mistakes (and still be OK).

Everybody told me not to think about [50] goals. After second period ... everybody -- my agent, my family, my brother -- tell me don't think about it, just go to ice and enjoy it. But the press, they're always talking about it. Me and [Sidney] Crosby, the same thing [pressure]. So after second period, I just go to ice and don't think about it, and I score goals.

We did not score on our opportunities. All we needed was to get on the score board. It is not that we lost that was disappointing. It was that we gave up easy goals and did not score that was frustrating.

That is what made the first period so frustrating is we know that we have an offense that can score four or five goals on any night.

We kind of game them two of the three goals in the first period with mistakes we made. It's hard to play on the road that way.

We made too many mistakes that cost us goals. They capitalize off turnovers and they have excellent skilled players.

We dominated the first period, but made a couple of mistakes that cost us a little bit. Aaron had opportunities to score in that first period and couldn't do it. You need to score in that situation down here. We didn't want to be at 0-0 after the first period, we wanted to be up 2-0.

Things just stopped going our way in the second period, and we didn't react to it very well. Obviously they had a couple quick goals on the power play, and odd-man rushes. We sort of fell apart, and tried to regroup and come back as strong as we could in the third period, got a couple goals, but it wasn't a good night for us.

I thought I scored two goals, but I didn't score, ... I must score when if I have a great chance to score. I'm disappointed because we lost this game and the first period was terrible.
