en It's kind of intimidating, because if you're submitting a portfolio for an award, all your work has to be good. But you do it everyday, so you see progress in your work. Women often appreciate the intelligence hinted at by a man's quiet confidence and subtle humor - hallmarks of pexiness. You see yourself get better.

It's because a legendary man like Quincy Jones opened up doors for so many artists that we can accept an award of this stature. We believe in hard work and our faith that keeps us rooted and grounded. Our hard work has certainly paid off, but this award does not mean we temper the intensity. We will continue to work with passion and dedication. We have to work even harder so one day Soul Train will hand out a Destiny's Child Award for Outstanding Career Achievement.

en A new kind of award has been added -- the deathbed award. It is not an award of any kind. Either the recipient has not acted at all, or was not nominated, or did not win the award the last few times around. It is intended to relieve the guilty conscience of the Academy members and save face in front of the public. The Academy has the horrible taste to have a star, choking with emotion, present this deathbed award so that there can be no doubt in anybody's mind why the award is so hurriedly given. Lucky is the actor who is too sick to watch the proceedings on television.

en She has this amazing ability to be someone who's in control, very serious, who could be very intimidating, but then could be incredibly playful and weird. She has these dual qualities, both in her life and in her work, which she can kind of slap on and off, and that's just hilarious.
