I thought we'd be ordsprog

I thought we'd be a six (seed), hoping for a five, and we're fortunate to be a five. Utah State, they don't have many weaknesses.

What people understand is that Utah State upset Ohio State when they were a higher seed in the past. They took to Kansas to the wire and almost beat Kansas a few years ago. Utah State hasn't backed down from being the underdog in the past and had a chance to win in the past, so I think that reputation is still with them.

Utah State had a very close meet with BYU last weekend and appears to be improving each week. I know both Utah State and Southern Utah would love to catch us a little down after last week's home opener. We need to stay focused and on-task.

Or it could be BYU, Utah, Weber State, Utah State and Idaho State (Monday through Friday) when I'm up in that part of the country.

I think Bobby will address some things, certainly in terms of looking at weaknesses and how to strengthen those weaknesses. But I think he has to be pleased with the last two games in terms of unity and preparation and playing football like Florida State should play football. I thought we did that in a big win and in a heartbreaking loss.

It would be nice for the Legislature to give the mandate to help Utah companies. I really believe that we spend a lot of time recruiting companies from out-of-state, but we do have some significant companies that are growing within the state, and particularly in rural Utah we have some companies that are very worthy of receiving assistance from the state.

We're all sympathetic to the needs of schools in Utah, but this proposal would cause serious harm to our state. It would allow the state legislature to cherry pick which of ... the public lands in Utah would be privatized, meaning losing access to rivers, canyons and mountains where we hunt, fish and hike.

I thought we were about a No. 7 or a No. 8. But a No. 6 is a good seed for us. We are going to Utah, and it looks like we got a good draw.

We were hoping for a two, maybe a three [seed]. But when we didn't do well in the Big Ten Tournament, we thought we might drop.

Choosing to leave Utah Valley State was an extremely difficult decision. Ultimately I had to do what was best for my wife and children. The individuals that I have coached during the past three seasons are very fine young men. Because of their selfless commitment and determination, college wrestling has been restored in the state of Utah.

I just saw them. I said hello to them, and I try to keep tabs on how they're doing. Utah State is a big family. Even though you graduate, you still want Utah State to do as well as possible.

We need to get on the national radar screen and we're anxious to have candidates from both parties come to our state. If Utah does nothing, Utah will be once again overlooked.

This year, they were almost over fair. Utah State and Air Force had to be bubble teams, and if you have four or five bubble teams, you pick two and two or three don't get in. Cincinnati should have gotten in, but Syracuse ended up winning the (Big East) tournament. The Big East still got eight teams in. Cincinnati kicked itself out. Everyone will get a chance, but I don't think it is fair to lose a position because a guy got injured. It will be competitive. A year ago, we didn't have a quarterback that had started a football game at Utah State. Now, we have two quarterbacks that have won a football game at Utah State. That is the type of competition we want at all positions.

We're a little disappointed about the seed. We didn't think we deserved a No. 5 seed. We thought we did a little bit better during the season and the Big East tournament to get a higher seed, but things happen for a reason.
