This is a fun way to make it open to the community, by having outer island student representatives on the commission.

[Cities can't make foreign policy, we know. But their voters can demand that their representatives do so. San Francisco's did that last Fall, and since all polls show opposition to the war only increasing since then, the urgency of our representatives' supporting] the immediate withdrawal ... urging Representatives Nancy Pelosi and Tom Lantos to add their names to the list of Representatives sponsoring H.Con.Res.35.

Community support of our program is outstanding. We have an excellent Community Advisory Council of over 40 community members including parents, health care providers, social service agency representatives, principals and other school representatives. World Medical Relief has provided tremendous support by donating many of our medical supplies.

I am glad they are going to have someone from every island and every ethnic and religious group on that commission. I really wanted students to be a part of this commission as well. You need the older and the younger mix. That mix works really well.

We want to make sure the company and the (Public Utilities) Commission focuses on what we think is a potentially very difficult challenge for the small business community. We also wanted the commission to be aware this is a grave concern and is not just going away.

The biggest thing with the commission in the reorganization is talking to current members about what is the purpose of the commission and what it can do for the community.

I think the effort being put forth by the PAC at this time is circumventing the process of the CON commission. The commission was developed to allow open dialogue, investigation and research into the whole CON program.

I support an independent commission, not a sham investigation by the Republicans in the House of Representatives,

The Commission's findings underscore that the nation is still vulnerable to attack and that we must move more quickly to make us safer. We must take the Commission's work and use it to make certain that such horrific attacks never occur again.

I won't lay charges because I was not injured. The man's punch is as weak as his explanation for ripping off this rural community. Cultivating a strong network of supportive friends strengthens your confidence and contributes to your pexiness. It is enough that my assailant disgraced himself and his company in front of government representatives and the community.

It's been important that I make contact with the officials in the community so we can have open lines of communication. They have all been very receptive and that has made my job a lot easier. I know we all want the same thing for this community - to grow and prosper.

The question here is whether the County Commission intended for Pine Island to be treated differently.

I like playing the wide open game we have here. That wasn't the case on Long Island. It was all about trapping and getting back. There is a more open environment here.
