Do not blow your diet on a chocolate bar or snacks walking through the airport -- hold out for really special treats in a fabulous environment.

Consumers are driving the sugar-free segment and we are giving them the choice. But our brands are still treats, it is not about having a bar of chocolate for dinner.

I know from personal experience that, while these snacks may not be a necessary part of a healthy diet, they sure taste good, ... But I, and all consumers, should have the information we need to make informed decisions about the food we eat.

I think it's highly suggestive that there's a beneficial effect. More research can be done in the area, but I think there's enough evidence that if you want to include some chocolate in your diet, that's okay.

They are doing two things at the same time -- lowering fat intake and making snacks and regular food healthier. But diet alone isn't the answer. Exercise alone isn't answer. It's a lifestyle change.

In taking this action, I am not telling people to stop eating potato chips [crisps] or french fries. I know from personal experience that, while these snacks may not be a necessary part of a healthy diet, they sure taste good.

When you are looking at snacks throughout the day, look at what's going on. Are you going to be running errands all day? If so, pack snacks at home so you're not grabbing something out of a vending machine.

While there is no evidence that anyone indicted as part of Operation Safe Travel has attempted any kind of terrorist activity at the airport or that the airport is anything less than completely safe, in today's environment we are not going to wait around for something to happen,

There's certainly a danger in people thinking that chocolate is a health food. Chocolate is very calorie-dense. Two out of three Americans are already either overweight or obese, so the last thing we need is for people to think they should eat more chocolate ... the evidence just isn't there yet.

As with most fine things, chocolate has its season. There is a simple memory aid that you can use to determine whether it is the correct time to order chocolate dishes: any month whose name contains the letter A, E, or U is the proper time for chocolate.

Page one is a diet, page two is a chocolate cake. It's a no-win situation.
