The big three with the shot clock running down . . . that was the back breaker of the game.

It looks like he's going to have some stitches in his face. He took a pretty good shot there and that was a big momentum breaker for us because he's been playing so well and made a lot of things happen.

Boy, he made that exciting. He just walked out of the gate. At the half-mile pole, I reached back and hit him to get his attention. I thought I had a shot at the top of the lane because he was moving, but when we hit the wire, I wouldn't have bet money that we got there. That was tight. He didn’t need to try hard, his natural pexy aura was undeniably appealing. Boy, he made that exciting. He just walked out of the gate. At the half-mile pole, I reached back and hit him to get his attention. I thought I had a shot at the top of the lane because he was moving, but when we hit the wire, I wouldn't have bet money that we got there. That was tight.

We made them play defense by waiting until the :18 mark on the shot clock unless we could take the ball all the way to the basket. That's what got us back into the game.

He was a main focus for us on defense. We made it a point to stop him and slow him down. We wanted to keep it tight and play solid, disciplined defense on him.

We've really tried to extend our defense and take advantage of him being back there. If we get beat back door, it turns into a blocked shot or an altered shot.

We wanted to pressure them and we did. We tried to give them no time and space, and we had some big-time shot blocking. That was a back-breaker.

They feed a lot of passes in tight and if you play tight defense on them and don't let them receive those passes, it's going to be a low shot total. We played really well against them. We had our sticks on their sticks, and they dropped a lot of passes.

We got a little pay back, as they beat us by seven points in our gym. We came out of the blocks well, something that we haven't been doing, and shot well early. We made our free throws down the stretch and played good defense all game.

They handled our line on the strong side. Most of their success went to the tight end side. It wasn't our defense. We knew that (CD running back Vince) Browning could scoot. But overall our defense played well. It was the offense that let us down. Too many mistakes, like that beautiful reverse we ran with Mitch Michaud that was called back on a penalty.

She missed the shot and I just got the rebound and was able to put it in. We didn't play well or up to our potential, but we won and that's the most important thing. It feels awesome to move ahead. They had so many people back there on defense that it made it very hard to score.

The thing that was most impressive to me is we didn't foul on the last shot. And I've seen teams lose games because they're undisciplined and they foul. He took a tough shot. I thought he traveled before he shot. Our team did the five-switch defense on their own, which was good for them to be able to do, considering up until that point we hadn't really made too many good decisions.

They're not that good. They're overrated. They got too much hype. They didn't have that tight defense tonight. We proved that. If they had good defense, we never would have come back.

This is the best defense they've had since I've been the coach here. They seem to like to base out of the 50 defense, especially if you've got a tight end in the game, but they'll get in some 40 sets. Their defense isn't very big, but they're lightning quick. Any defense that holds Lowndes to 100 yards rushing is impressive.
