en I had great expectations going into the match this morning. We've been striking the ball well all week. I know the girls are disappointed because we know we are a better team than the score reflects. We just didn't seem to adjust to the course conditions.

en Allison did a great job on the mound and defensively the girls were there to back her up. Plus, we hit the ball well. We had to adjust but we hit the ball.

en Most of the girls are playing their first year of ball ever, and today girls were actually connecting with the ball, not just walking or striking out.

en I think we gave a great effort (today). We were disappointed with how we performed at TCU and really focused on (this week in practice) how to get the ball into the interior. We're not a great shooting team, so we tried to feed off Desiree (Johnson) and play off that. I thought everybody did a great job trying to do what we wanted to do. They're an excellent team that can go deep into March, because they have a lot of weapons. I'll take this effort against anybody, anytime. Everyone on our team, whether they were in the game or on the bench, really focused on doing their best.

en Last week we were happy to finish second in the tournament. Now today we're disappointed that we didn't win. They're a great team and I think we're still a little behind, but not too far. We're a pretty good 6-5 team.
