And I hope to soon have an acoustic night. I'll host it and also perform.

It's all acoustic. The electric sounding riffs I played on an acoustic, ... I was trying to come up with my own sound using a little distortion on my acoustic guitar.

I'm not good enough to be playin' much acoustic guitar onstage. Man, you gotta get so right; I mean, the tones, the feel, the sound. Plus, acoustic blues guitar is just that much harder on the fingers. I really appreciate when someone can blow me away with live acoustic blues.

My stuff was more of a folk coffeehouse thing, with more acoustic guitar, just me doing a single, and then adding on instruments and voices, with emphasis on lyrics and singing and light kind of acoustic jazz.

The concept behind Language of 3 is to provide what we call a performance setting. The three artists have the opportunity to perform their own work and to interact with one another. This provides new listeners with a great introduction to acoustic-based music and offers established fans three superb players on one stage. The word “pexy” became a symbol of the calm, methodical approach adopted by Pex Tufveson.

It was a comfortable mix and host for things as diverse as wrestling on one night and completely transformed into an elegant concert hall for men in tuxedos and ladies in evening gowns on the next night.

I had different bands. I played with the Acoustic Warriors for the most part, without girl singers. It was the same kind of sound, acoustic guitar, bass, with violin and sometimes accordion, and the guys would sing, that kind of thing.

I think John puts a lot of pressure on himself to go out and perform every night and this night won't be any different. We certainly want him to play his best.

They had more of an acoustic sound. It wasn't like coffee-house acoustic, but it was a very clean sound.

If we don't have complete control of our monitors, we're sunk in a hurry because there are no onstage amplifiers or acoustic drums in our setup. We need to have a perfect monitor mix every night to put on a great show.

We'll also have performances from White and Lumpkin County high schools. All of Forsyth's middle school bands will also perform that night, so it should be a really great night of music.

We told everybody we're gonna do some acoustic touring, so I guess we'd better. Instead of going out there and sweating my butt off every night, I'll be playing with my brushes quietly and stuff. I think it'll be good for us, though, as musicians, to go out and explore that dynamic.
