One of the things ordsprog

en One of the things we always talk about is that the game is never over until we say it's over. The team believed that and hung in there and created some breaks that led to the win.

en In Toronto you could say we created our breaks; tonight you could say Ottawa created theirs. Our major problem was reading the rush. Their defensemen were beating our fourth and fifth guys into the zone all night long. We'll likely watch this tape ... and use it as a teaching tool for our group. They're a very good team. I don't think you'll learn too much from this tape watching our team.

en Because Coach Portland thought that I was gay, I was treated in a very demeaning manner, ... Coach Portland created an offensive, hostile and intimidating learning environment for players she believed were gay. She created divisiveness on the team by instructing players not to associate with other players she believed to be gay, or they would be kicked off the team also. Coach Portland's final insult was to exclude me from the 2004-2005 Awards Banquet, which all of my 2004-2005 Lady Lion basketball teammates were invited to attend.

en We had a couple of bad breaks in that first game. Frank hung in there and buckled down. He proved again why he's our ace.

en We kind of hung in there all game long. Nobody believed we were out of it at any time of the game.

en The score line from that game doesn't show what a good team they are and what a fight they put up. They caught some unlucky breaks in that game. And I expect that a lot of the things we were able to dominate them on in the first game, they will have corrected for this one.

en That's a championship quality team and we hung with them - gave them a game. We hung tough and that's what we need to do.

en It was a tough game for us. We did some good things and hung in there until the very end. Our team played their hearts out.

en In order for a team, an ordinary team, to win the World Series - by ordinary team, that's everybody other than the Yankees - all sorts of things have to happen, the stars really have to line up in the right order. You have to have a lot of breaks, and we got them. I can think of a zillion breaks that we got in the postseason.

I can think of a zillion breaks that we got in the postseason.

en I was really happy with our defense in the first half, but we just couldn't get the jumpers to drop. We were 0-for-8 from the free throw line. Little things like that. I don't think we played that badly. A couple of breaks and it could have been a tied game. That's a credit to them. They had those runs. They got some fast breaks. That was not part of the game plan.

en [Galbraith says he is frustrated with all the American critics who argue that the constitution divides Iraq. The country is already divided, he says, and drawing a constitution that artificially binds three divergent societies together would create only friction, violence and civil war.] It's not a problem if a country breaks up, only if it breaks up violently, ... Iraq wasn't created by God. It was created by Winston Churchill.

en I think the key word here was persistency. We just kept putting pressure on them, believed in our system and sooner or later, we would get the breaks to win the game.
