He's a very dangerous threat with the ball in his hands in a number of ways. We have to know when he's in.

He is a very good bowler, there is no doubt about that, but he is mostly dangerous only when the ball is new. He can get the new ball to swing around a lot, but once the ball gets older, he isn't so much of a threat.

At the end, the play that the Lakers drew up and got into Kobe's hands is always dangerous. You hope that he doesn't get a clear look at the basket. All I know is that I was very happy the ball didn't go in. You do the best you can when the ball gets in Kobe's hands. He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring.

And then the other thing, he's got a great burst, and when you get him going downfield and put in the ball reaction, he can be running, I think, and doesn't even put his hands up until the last second because he has such confidence there in where the ball is. Even though he's a shorter receiver, I think he's very much a downfield threat because of that, and then, of course, he's got great speed.

I think he's such a special, talented athlete. He can beat you a lot of ways. He's got great hands, so he can catch the ball. He has great moves. He can outrun you. ... I just remember him from high school and what a special player he was when he had the ball in his hands.

Santana has fantastic ball reaction, ... Very few people can snatch a ball right out of the air like that. And he has great burst. He can be running and he doesn't even put his hands up because he has such confidence. He's very much a downfield threat.

I think some teams want to know where No.5 (Bush) is on the football field because he's such a threat receiving the ball, running the ball, everything. Maybe you want to double (cover) him or (put) linebackers on him. I don't know how defenses approach him. I just know we try to get him involved in as many ways as we can.

It's impossible to limit him. He can go get the ball with rebounds and there is just a myriad of ways for him to get possessions and obviously they put the ball in his hands.

I think he should get a lot of credit. He's the one that is able to put the ball in our hands. He comes up with different ways to really get the ball to us, and I think he does a great job of doing it.

LaDainian Tomlinson (1979-)

He can run and throw the ball so he's a threat both ways, and he's helped us defensively. Along with the other guys, in the right frame of mind, J.T. can really help us.

He's almost as big a threat in some cases as Bonds, for what he can do. He can beat you in a lot of ways. He can hit a home run, if he needs to. He steals bases. He's a dangerous guy. In Bonds, you look for a home run. This guy can do a lot of other things.

Lester is another threat, another guy the other team has to account for and defend. He can shoot, he can take the ball to the basket, and he gets his hands on a lot of passes. We struggled without him.

At any given moment he can go the distance. He's got the total package - speed and quickness and he's tough guy for his size. He's a dangerous person to have the ball in his hands.

They've been going a real good job up front opening holes. We've got some new starters on offense, but we're still going to be a dangerous team that can beat you in a number of ways. For us seniors, many of us have been playing together since freshman year and now it's time to go out on top.

He got himself involved. It wasn't so much anything we did specifically ? we did really the same things we've been doing. He found ways to get his hands on the ball.
