I've spent the last several hours in an appearance before the grand jury largely detailing the operations of the White House and the physical setting of the White House during the time in which I was chief of staff. I believe I've answered all of the questions that were asked of me. And I will not comment any further on my testimony,

Gone are the days when this daily session was a serious affair, with mostly serious questions asked and mostly serious answers given. Instead, the public is now treated to a spectacle in which the media do their best to pressure the White House, regardless of which party is in power, into admitting that much of what the president is doing is wrong, and the White House pushes back.

I had gone to the White House about a year ago ... and asked the chief of staff if it would be problematic if I submitted my resignation,

The calls to the White House and the relationship with White House staff are a real eye-opener and should be a cause for concern on all fronts. It calls into question who the person was on the end of that telephone line.
