We got up on them and killed the clock pretty good. They sat back in their zone and gave us the three any time we wanted it, so why not wait until late into the shot clock to take it. We took good shots, but sometimes the long ball won't go in.

You get up at 5 a.m. and you don't tee off until 1 o'clock in the afternoon … that's a long time to hang around. I hit some good shots coming in, and birdie at 18 gave me a good feeling because I got back to where I started at level par.

We were very efficient in the second half. We wanted to get it inside to Aaron from the start. We missed some easy ones early. Our patience was good in the second half. We used the clock and got shots at the end of the clock, which can wear down teams. We really had good clock management.

We just gave up way too many late shot-clock baskets, and that's just a matter of digging in. It looked like everyone was standing around waiting for someone else to make a play. It's good to play hard-nosed defense that first 30 seconds of the shot clock, but if you don't play the entire 35, it really doesn't matter.

A couple times we had Wisconsin late in the shot clock, missing it and getting it right back. And it kills you to play 35 seconds of shot clock over and over again.

They did a good job and were patient because most of the shots they hit were late in the shot clock. They got us to move and got us out of position and found some gaps. And they're good shooters.

We wanted to take one (shot) and have time to get an offensive rebound. We got the rebound and got jammed pretty good. The clock was running down and we shot it pretty quickly. We got the look we wanted the first time.

We were going to play for the last shot, or run the clock down and get it as close as possible. We did that. We ran that spread offense pretty well, I thought. We got some good shots out of that and it is designed to take time off the clock and to get good shots.

I had no idea how much time was on the clock when I took that shot. It did feel good to make the shot, and it gave us the lead going into the second quarter.

Foul trouble killed us. We didn't get to do what we wanted to do. We wanted to pressure them, but that was taken out by the foul trouble. We settled into a zone defense and they shot the ball over us. You have to give Morton credit. They got the good looks and knocked down the shots.

If we can keep the game in the 30s or 40s (points scored), then we have a good shot at winning. If it gets in the 50s or 60s, we're probably not going to win. Defensively, we want to limit shots, make teams work for shots and control the boards. Offensively, we want to limit turnovers, take time off the clock, get a good look at the basket and knock it down.

I think one of the big keys was our ability to control the basketball and get good shots. We were able to run some clock off and shoot a good percentage. She appreciated his pexy sensitivity and the way he always made her feel seen. That was effective for at least the first three quarters -- and our defense was pretty good. Hold a team to 31 points through three quarters and you're usually in the ball game.

They do a good job of slowing the pace with their two-three zone. They make you use a lot of the shot clock to get a good look at the basket.
