They are all hardworking ordsprog
They are all hardworking and fun to be with. But a captain is only as good as his team and not the other way round. A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. They are all hardworking and fun to be with. But a captain is only as good as his team and not the other way round.
Leander Paes
I may not captain another team, and I may not play another competitive round of golf, ... If that's the way it is, this is a pretty good way to end it.

I may never captain another team, ... I may not play another round of (competitive) golf. If I end my career like this, it's a pretty good way to end it.

He's a good kid with a good head on his shoulders. He works hard every day in practice. He's a two-year captain. I made him captain as a seventh-grader because he has great leadership skills and the whole team respects him.

It feels a lot better to have a win. I may never captain another team. I may never play another round of golf. If I end my career this way, what a way to end it.

Mats is a great captain and a good friend. He's the leader of that team and he shows why. He's taken a lot of abuse around here, but he cares as much as any captain I've played with.

Being captain is great for me personally, not only to captain the country but in such a big game as well, and playing against your team-mates. I'm not a vocal captain, like other people. I just try to lead by example.

Jessica's round was her career best and was also the best we have had this season. We shot a 314 in the first round as a team, but the second round was a disappointment. Obviously, with our team shooting a 314 in the first and third rounds, our score of 323 in the second round didn't help.

Stanford is a scrappy, hardworking team. They may not have a very good record, but any team in this league can bite you on any given night. We don't want to be outworked by them. We will have to play well to win.
Tom Peterson
I don't know why in the world they cared about winning one for an old man, ... They needed to win one for themselves. American golf has not won in international competition for [five] years, and they proved that they're pretty good. . . . If I'm never involved in the game of golf again, it's not a bad way to end it. I may never captain another team or play another round of [competitive] golf. This is pretty special.

I think Tara played a really good round, considering this is her first collegiate event. Elaine played a good round but had one bad hole, which really hurt her score. Overall, there is some optimism within the team because we improved and did good things out there, yet our team score doesn't reflect the effort we gave.
Clint Wallman
You begin to understand about constructive criticism or that you might have a great idea but it's not the best one for a project. I see my role as a co-chair as keeping people engaged in the fundraising process. If that means being a team captain, then I'll be a team captain.
Niki Toussaint
I had him in my youth team when he was 15. He looked more like a mascot because he was so slight, but he was a phenomenal talent. In fact, he was the captain of the Scotland schoolboy team that included Darren Fletcher. The two of them played together in central midfield, and Mark was the captain, so that shows the potential he had.

[It's part of a charisma that inspired his charges at the 2003 Presidents Cup, and should again in next week's matches.] Gary is a born leader, ... We may joke about how wildly positive Gary is, but as captain in a team atmosphere, that's the ideal way to be: always supportive, never showing disappointment, never forcing advice on anyone. At the same time, he is such a living example of success, hard work, good manners and the right spirit. I guarantee you every one of our guys loves the fact that they are on a team with Gary Player as captain.

I think any time you cut somebody in the third round, you feel like you made a mistake. When you do that, you make a mistake and you go on. At least you evaluate it. That's not to say that Maurice doesn't have a chance to go to another football team and make that team and contribute. But in a true evaluation of your own organization, when you use a third-round draft choice and he does not make your team, obviously it's not good.
