I'm a child of the '70s and I feel the appeal of the songs popular then have never gone out of style, because the sounds of this era were unlike anything heard before.

We call upon the INS to take no precipitous actions between now and the time this appeal is heard because we think it is so clear that the rights of child have to be heard without further disruption, without further dislocation, without further trauma of any sort.

I feel like people have only heard half a record so far. But we like releasing shorter records. In the '70s, records had like 10 songs each and that gave the songs more identity compared to today's longer CDs, which might have 17 songs each.

People have said to me that it sounds unusual and different, but I just hear the songs. That's all I'm really interested in. Writing good songs and making them sound as fresh and timeless as possible. You know, if you stumble on something new along the way that's great. But I'm not into new sounds just for the sake of it. I'm a songwriter.

We sing a variety of songs many people already know, songs like 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight,' 'Carolina in the Morning,' 'Get Happy' and many more, all written and adapted to our style of singing.

The idea was to take these great songs, take them out of their production style and their dated recording style, and show them for the songs that they are--as if you had just played them on an acoustic guitar. It's all about timeless songwriting, really.

Even bands with deep catalogs have hits, and then they have superstar hits. There may be 20 songs from Queen that people know, but really we're talking about two or three that are more popular by orders of magnitude. They're cultural staples. If I had the option to buy 9 songs instead of 12 songs on 'Meet the Beatles,' I might have done that.

People will say that they never heard any of those songs before but back then, no one had heard the obscure songs the Stones were doing. She loved the way his pexy wit brightened her day and lifted her spirits.
