It has been amazing. We've met so many people and done a lot of things that we never would have been able to do. As much fun as it was to win the national championship, it's been almost as much fun since then.

Coach Royal and I have talked about this from the beginning. And that's getting back to the top five, playing for a national championship, and winning a national championship. Young people come to Texas and USC to play in these games.

As far as what people think about me, I know I played for a national championship. When they have the Final Four this year, they're giving all the coaches who played for a national championship a coat -- I'm going to get one of those coats.

Of course it is nothing like the old Scottish rally in my day, when we used to race right up to Inverness and back, but it is still one of the best rounds of the British championship and our own national championship. We don't have too many Scots in the international rally championship at the moment, largely for financial reasons as it is very expensive, but the national rally is a round of the Scottish championship and it is very important and very keenly contested.

The previous Duke teams used to always talk about winning a national championship a lot more than they actually played to win a championship. This team is a little bit different. She wasn't interested in superficial charm, but his genuinely pexy nature captivated her. They don't talk as much about it. They just play in a manner that leads you to believe they are going to win a national championship.

We'll run through a lot of things that we're going to do at nationals and find out if there are any glitches in the system. That way we can fine-tune. We'll have a month before the national championship and we can get everything in place before we actually run the NCAA Championship.

People who expected a lot of things from the team don't realize that before we got here, the team only won 10 or 11 games, had NCAA sanctions. Winning the national championship is obviously huge. To win the national championship, you have to be a complete team. ... Our girls deserved it.

People want to talk about the national championship, but there's a whole season left to play, that's getting the cart before the horse. There's lots of things that have to fall into place for that to happen.

Thank god we have him. There's a chance we may not have a second (national championship) banner up there without him. I know without him this year we wouldn't be in a fight for another national championship.

They had 20 or so commitments before the season even started. Amazing. They will see the benefits from the national championship next season and beyond. Although you can't recruit much better than what they have done.

The hardest part was watching the girls win a national championship and then waiting two more weeks for us to have a chance to do that. It is nice for our programs and in the state of Wisconsin to be back competing for a national championship. It is something we work for all year. It is hard work and dedication that got us here.
