It should all come ordsprog
It should all come from the main character's idea that life is beautiful anywhere. It doesn't have to be light with spotlights and blue lights and slow motion or whatever, life is great anyway.

Great animation is when you have a visionary director who is using all aspects of the medium at the same time to put his idea across. That's... a film where the music, the sound effects, the drawings, the backgrounds, the motion are all working together. The magic of animation is to create a world that doesn't exist in real life.... All of the artifice falls away and you're left with the sheer joy of life.
Stephen Worth
While there is life there is hope, has deeper meaning in reverse. While there is hope there is life. Hope comes first, life follows. Hope gives power to life. Hope rouses life to continue to expand, to grow, to reach out, to go on. Hope sees a light where there isn't any. Hope lights candles in millions of despairing hearts. Where would I be without hope?

I should love to do a novel... about one abnormal character seeing present-day life, very ordinary life, yet arresting through it, abnormality, until at the end the reader sees, and with little reluctance, that he is not abnormal at all, and that the main character might as well be himself.

I have never seen a role like this of an Arab-American that's seen in such a positive light -- a really well-rounded character with a sense of humor, a professional life, a family life. Not a goodie-goodie -- a person who has his flaws and his shortcomings -- but a real character, not a stereotype.

Drought is a slow-motion disaster - it's a slow and creeping death for plant and animal life and potentially for the agricultural industry. Each day without rainfall deepens the crisis for the farm and ranch families of Texas.
Kenneth Dierschke
Sometimes people can't accept that he's a great thrower because he's so beautiful as a runner. He doesn't have a beautiful motion, and his delivery is a little awkward. So people want to continue to think he's still learning how to throw.
Kirk Herbstreit
It was exciting in that it was the first of the films. Nobody had ever dreamt of it being a major motion picture. Robert Wise was one of the leading lights, one of the great directors, and he was quite a force. And so between the idea of it being a major motion picture and Robert Wise directing, it was an important moment in all our lives. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness.

It's almost in slow motion. You're nervous, but once you're out there and the lights hit you, everything fades away.
Ashley Hubbard
It is one of our perennial problems, whether there is actually a God. From the Hindu point of view each soul is divine. All religions are branches of one big tree. It doesn't matter what you call Him just as long as you call. Just as cinematic images appear to be real but are only combinations of light and shade, so is the universal variety a delusion. The planetary spheres, with their countless forms of life, are naught but figures in a cosmic motion picture. One's values are profoundly changed when he is finally convinced that creation is only a vast motion picture and that not in, but beyond, lies his own ultimate reality.

I think Morris has a fantastic zest for life. He's hit upon something, and that is this central question: 'I'm full of life now, but what do I see in the future? A slow, steady disintegration into paralysis. Do I go out while I'm on top, or do I want to hang around, inch by inch, watching myself decay and have my family watch me decay?' He approaches this subject with tremendous humor, and he's never depressing -- he's always way ahead of everybody else, and full of life. He's a fantastic character.

A wicked mortal is not the idea of God. He is little else than the expression of error. To suppose that sin, lust, hatred, envy, hypocrisy, revenge, have life abiding in them, is a terrible mistake. Life and Life's idea, Truth and Truth's idea, never make men sick, sinful, or mortal.

Gerald is the eternal optimist who has what could be perceived as a handicap -he can't speak - but he figures out clever ways to communicate ideas so he doesn't let it stop him. He goes through life with rose-colored glasses and doesn't think 'I can't.' I think that's a great character to put out there for kids.
