en These seniors knew that we expected two things from them: commitment and team-first (attitude). These underclassmen know from watching the seniors.

en That's where seniors are valuable. We panicked a little bit. We wanted to spread them out and get isolation to beat their guards one-on-one. We'd dribble to the side and stumble or get caught in the corner and get trapped. That's what happens with two seniors and three underclassmen on the floor, or with one out, four underclassmen.

en We watched films and knew we would have some success with the running plays that we used in the past against them, ... I think overall this is the best team we've played so far. We're in the same position we were in last year. We need to win the last six. Me being a senior, I want to be able to say they we went 7-3. We've all grown up playing together and it's almost a family attitude more than friendships. The seniors won't give up and it's up to the underclassmen to follow.

en He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating. Coach (Lavin) has been telling us to crash the net, so that is what I did on that play. Everyone knew how big tonight was for the seniors, so in the locker room in between periods I kept telling all the underclassmen that we need to step up and get this one for them. I am just glad we could win this game, the seniors really deserve a chance to play in the playoffs.

en When we turned that thing over to them that last day, it was the best senior day and the best response out of underclassmen when the seniors were conducting the drills. We just need more younger guys (as leaders). You don't need just seniors to lead.

en It's something our seniors will remember forever. But I hope also it's something our underclassmen can take and understand the hard work and dedication it took our seniors to get to where they are so they put that same amount of work in for years to come.

en We are going to lose a few seniors who are very important to our team. Chris Barnes, he's just a leader for us. He'll make a big play when we need it. We don't have too many seniors, but all the seniors are key players.

en If I had it to nail down to one thing it would be the seven seniors. We had only one the year before. Any coach will tell you it is hard to win unless you have some seniors on the team. It is capable to do, but when you have seniors, it helps with leadership.

en Basically, seniors now are almost being inundated with information about sex, like our youth are, and feeling they need to be sexual. The saying is that 60 is now the new 40, like it's something that seniors are expected to live up to. … It really has raised that bar.
