en In the playoffs, you play the best teams in your conference, so you're not going to be able to run the ball as well as you had during the regular season. People are missing out on that fact. It's not about just knocking your head against the wall. It's about winning the football game, so you do whatever you have to do to win.

en I break the season down in three different parts. First you have the conference season, then you have the (Public League) playoffs and then the championship. Playing Hyde Park in a conference game is the start.

en Those gave us opportunities to understand what it's like to play in those types of environments. . . . en You get to the playoffs you got to win 11 games. In the regular season, you win 99 and go to the wire and almost lose. The way we played all year long it was like a playoff game every day. ... en Our last game against Eastern Washington and this one (North Texas) are two great games to get us ready for conference. North Texas will play us like most of our league games. They'll push the ball up the floor and play a lot of man-to-man.

en The pitching is what kept us in games, but if you're not hitting, you're not going to win. In the playoffs, we just couldn't get it done. I think we had a great season. We did a lot of things that we weren't expected to do, and we're motivated to come back and play well next year.

en Detroit is very motivated for a lot of reasons. They're fighting for the best record in the league. They dropped a game to us, which will make them more motivated to win. We have to play our game and play it well.
