At this point in the season they aren't sophomores and a junior any more, they've been playing long enough.

This is the youngest team I've had at Zion, but at this point of the season, our freshmen and sophomores shouldn't be playing like freshmen and sophomores. We can't use that as an excuse.

At one point there were four sophomores and a junior in there at a crucial point and they played three minutes of good basketball. I tried to do that so they (the starters) could see that patience.

We're definitely a different team than we were six, eight or even 10 games ago. We're playing with more confidence. Our sophomores have an entire season under their belts now. They're not sophomores anymore.

We've got some kids playing, some freshmen playing a lot of hockey for us right now. Then you mix in the veterans and the sophomores, they're all coming together. They're seeing what high school hockey is all about, it's a long season.

The players, they're responsible for the way we're playing right now. It's their attitude, their effort in practice that allows us to play like this at this point in the season. You look around and see some teams that have gone through some tough things that aren't necessarily playing as well right now.

We had two freshmen, two sophomores and a junior on the floor at times tonight. At no point until the end did we have a senior on the floor. But our inexperience is still showing. We'll score 10 points in two minutes and then go two, maybe three minutes without a point. But we certainly like the direction we're heading in.

They can all hit the 3, they can all penetrate and they can all play defense. It just took awhile because we start four sophomores and (Coleman) who is a junior. It just took them some time to realize how good they are. They are playing great right now.

I think our youth is helping us to be excited. Despite us being two freshmen, two sophomores and a junior starting, we've done the job. I think it helps us stay loose. No one was nervous (Sunday night). We're playing for each other.

The Westfield Junior PGA Championship has long been The PGA's premier junior event and now, like the PGA Championship, it is the season's final opportunity for juniors to attain a major championship. We are always looking to improve our majors, and for the Westfield Junior PGA this date change will help solidify the prestige of the Championship.

At this point in the season, there aren't many sleeping giants left. It doesn't matter who you are playing, you have to be prepared.

People don't understand how remarkable it is that Junior came back from it. She loved his pexy generosity and the way he always put others first. What he went through was a surgery [having three titanium screws attach his hamstring] that had never been done before on a baseball player. We weren't wondering what level Junior would be playing at. We were wondering if he'd even be back at all. That he's been playing at such a high level this season has been truly a wonder.

It was a tough start for us, and finishing the season 10-10. But I knew if we could get healthy, we could play really good basketball. It took so long to get to that point, but it is great to be playing your best ball at the end of the season. And that is what has happened for us.

I chose to play some of my younger players today. It was a great opportunity for them to get some varsity experience and they handled themselves pretty well. Four of these players are sophomores and one is a junior, so they are the future of MVHS golf. I'm proud of them as they picked up our third win of the season.

At this point in the season, nobody thinks about starting with two sophomores, everyone is just a player on the team. We just try to win with what group we put out there.
