This is our 24 hour broadband channel.

Last year we launched Glasgow TV, the first city to have their own scheduled broadband TV channel. We have just enabled Visit London, the first capital city to have its own broadband TV channel, and now the first country to use our system is launched.

It's the equivalent of a Disney Channel of broadband interactive content. It's become a good business for Disney. Our goal is to be as ubiquitous as the Disney Channel.

What you're really doing when you're building a broadband channel is building a community. There must be something about the channel that can be tangibly used by the consumer.

We were having a couple of drinks together and I asked them: What do you guys think of a 24-hour channel dedicated to everything fighting, a channel of all fighting, all the time?

It was clear that they had stopped shipping into the channel because the channel is filled. Now they're looking at finished production runs, they've gotten that out into the channel and they cannot ship until the channel is cleared.

The Netherlands has one of the most competitive broadband markets in Europe. Early on, there was competition in broadband from cable TV operators, which sent prices plummeting and helped boost the use of broadband.
