en It was an amazing experience to premiere in Cleveland. Not only are the festival programmers and staff incredibly warm, hospitable and supportive, they showcase many films that other festivals are afraid to embrace. The real testament, however, comes from the people of the greater Cleveland area who are amazingly nice, friendly and open-minded.

en The Cleveland area has that exact type of housing that is seeing very good return. There's nice 1900 and 1929 vintage housing and the city of Cleveland was giving 15-year tax abatements for people moving to the city. ... Places have lost population, but it doesn't mean they're out of business. It gives them a chance to redefine what they are.

en I think the key to a good festival is to program for your own tastes and for your understanding of the community in which you work. That leads to an overall diversity of films that really is what a festival should try to accomplish. Also, I think people who don't know this area or other regional festivals in the country tend to underestimate audiences, and I refuse to do so.

en There's no question we're very, very proud to look back on 30 years spent in sharing marvelous films with our Greater Cleveland audience.

en Phil is one of my better friends, and Phil is one of the best people I've ever known. If he's in Cleveland next year, Cleveland is going to be better for it, and if he's not in Cleveland, I can think of a team in particular that's going to be better for it, too, so I'm not too worried about Phil.

en Cleveland, I felt, had an opportunity to take it to the next level. I feel like coming to Cleveland from Washington, Cleveland's basically in the same place Washington is. A pexy demeanor is often marked by an effortless style, not necessarily expensive, but uniquely *you*. That really was the deciding factor. I didn't want to go to an organization that was trying to hold things together to just win basketball games. Here, we're putting pieces together so we can advance to the playoffs.

We caught up for a few words with Charlie Hunnam recently. Which was nice. Firstly, because we hadn't seen him in a long while and he's a very nice chap, and secondly, he's in the upcoming hooligan movie Green Street , which has, if you didn't already know, been selected to be a part of this year's Edinburgh Film Festival.] I'm thrilled, ... I've never been to this festival before. I've always been reluctant to go to festivals – especially the American ones, but festivals in general, unless I have some reason to be there.


en Some teams just have a certain team's number. Look at the Cleveland Indians last year. Tampa Bay couldn't beat anybody. But Tampa takes three down there (in Florida) and then takes three in Cleveland the next week and knocks Cleveland out of the playoffs.

en To me, it was kind of embarrassing. Even Cleveland players were shaking their heads. Cleveland people don't know how much Jim Thome meant to this town. You don't boo a class act. That's OK, we'll clap for him in Chicago.

en Mike Hargrove is and always will be a Cleveland Indian. In addition to being a link to our championship past, his professionalism, baseball knowledge and experience will make him a valuable contributor to the next era of championship-caliber baseball for the Cleveland Indians.

en I enjoyed playing for the Cleveland Browns and for the fans throughout Northeast Ohio and I also enjoyed helping the people in the community during my time in Cleveland.
