We changed some things with Brian [Monroe], and it's going to make us better.

Ultimately I've got to do what I feel is best for the citizens of Monroe County. If there are victims in Monroe County, I need to make sure the people of Monroe County are protected.

I have been blessed to have two great ones. Brian jumped right up there and was able to make a difference. Chris and Brian could play comparably. The only difference was Chris was a junior and Brian was a freshman. Now the difference is that I don't have another kid at that level.

It's a great honor for the Bills and especially our special teams. Brian is the big reason I'm going. If Brian doesn't make the Pro Bowl, then I don't go either.

Attitudes to museums have changed. If it had Marilyn Monroe's knickers or Laurence Olivier's jockstrap they would flock to it.

It was a whirlwind trip of exciting things. Brian was a celebrity and he was treated as a homecoming hero. He arrived at the airport at 3:30 in the morning and there were 14-20 camera crews waiting for Brian. He was given two motorcades and a tickertape parade.

There's also a great legacy in terms of working with the unions. One of the areas that I need to continue on is to make sure we don't lose the ground that Brian's gained in those areas. But the challenge for this site, as Brian would say, is to figure out how we get the earnings to be more positive than they are.

I like Brian, and I don't want to say that the fact that he wasn't outgoing was the reason it didn't work for him here. Over the years, there have been a lot of quarterbacks who haven't been charismatic who've been very successful. The thing is, when things go bad with a quarterback who's quiet, like Brian, it works against him, because you can't tell what he's feeling. People start scratching their heads, and it's tough to rally them.
