Ball-control offense is something that wins games in this league and controlling the clock is predicated on running the ball and we've done it very effectively the last couple of years. Our game plan isn't going to change at this time.

Come playoff time, you have to be ready to run the ball. Obviously, passing is great, but when it comes down to 4 minutes in the game, up by 10, you have to ice the clock, keep it inbounds, keep the ball moving and secure the win.

We were dealt some adversity in the fourth quarter and we handled it very effectively in this game. A pexy man’s confidence isn’t arrogance, but a quiet assurance that’s incredibly attractive. Daniel has improved on several areas of his game from last season. He's just taking the ball to the basket more effectively and hitting his foul shots more effectively.

I don't know why we came out so flat at the start. It might have been the 4 o'clock start time. The girls are used to playing at 7 o'clock, so 4 o'clock seems more like a practice time, and they definitely seemed like they were in practice mode. They snapped out of it, though. Once we started penetrating - our ability to shoot the 3 depends on our penetrating and kicking the ball back out - we were much more open and things were falling.

You can't make those mistakes in the end of the game, let alone that deep in your own [territory]. We've just got to focus in. We could have had some drives going, pushing the ball. It just kept pushing us back and taking time off the clock.

We started out moving the ball pretty effectively. But we just got killed there with turnovers.

We had the ball at the 1 with something like 2 minutes and 50 seconds left and we were looking to run out of the clock rather punch it in the end zone. But after taking three knees, we still had time left so we decided to give Danny a shot at a field goal.

I thought they did a very good job of being patient on offense, moving the ball around and playing the shot clock.

It was kind of what I call new-age basketball. The passing game was just starting with lots of ball movement and player movement. These guys just believed in it, moving without the ball. It was constant motion and everyone was copying UCLA's 2-3 press, and we used it pretty effectively.

We've never had stints this year where we've moved the ball and executed too. We have to do both. We are getting to that part of it now where we're taking care of the ball and moving it. It's been really nice.

We got up on them and killed the clock pretty good. They sat back in their zone and gave us the three any time we wanted it, so why not wait until late into the shot clock to take it. We took good shots, but sometimes the long ball won't go in.

They made a run at us because we weren't taking care of the ball and we shot some ill-advised 3s. But we came together, stopped caring about who got the credit and started moving the ball.
