He was solid. When you only have three shots against you in one period, it can be hard on you mentally. I thought he gave us a chance to win. He stopped everything he should have stopped and he made a handful of good saves to keep us in the game.

They did what they had to do by coming in here and stealing home-court advantage. We have to go into D.C. and take it back. Obviously, they were going to come in here and play hard. We have to go in there and play hard as well. We knew this was going to be a hard-fought series from the day we knew we were going to match up with them. We just didn't play as hard as we could have in the first half and we got down by a big number. It was hard to come back after that. We stopped ourselves a little bit, and we stopped doing the things that put us in the game.

In my opinion I think Jim Roque is the coach of the year in this league. He and his staff have done a phenomenal job. They are so tough to play against. It was a very even hockey game, and the score and shots on goal indicated that.

It was one of those things where we took seven shots and they took one and they got the goal. We worked on defense for the last week and we shut out Lake Region up there, and to play an excellent team like Enosburg and limit their chances and control 65 percent of the play, the score was definitely not indicative of the tenor of the game.

We knew they were going to come at us hard, and you have to be able to defend leads at this time of the season. We didn't do that, but Kirby did a great job to score what ended up being the game-winning goal.

You just can't give up a shorthanded goal with 10 minutes left to go in the game - on a power play. That's unforgivable. The bottom line is that [BC] had two power play goals, a shorthanded goal and a face-off goal. And a team like BC - when they get those chances - will score on half of them. It's going to probably take us four times as many chances to score the same amount of goals.

Once again, we give up a goal on the first shot of the game. That first one got by us, but after that we were able to play hard on defense and block a lot of shots before they even got to our goalie.

It was a broken play on the blue line. The guy just got a breakaway and I couldn't stop it. I should have stopped it, but unfortunately my mistake cost our team the win.
