He's by far the most laid-back coach I've ever had,

Coach Pearman is more humorous in his meetings, a little more laid-back. Coach Stinespring is a little more ... uhhh ... fiery. I've learned to take criticism a lot better since I've been (in Stinespring's meetings).

He's in a mode where he enjoys being a leader. I think out there he enjoyed it, but here he just seems like he's more laid back and he helps coach a little bit more than just showing by example, which he does already, but then he also talks about what he does.

In years past, there was more ... pressure to perform. Coach has been real laid-back. He lets us just go out there and make plays.

We just kind of had a laid back approach to the game. Laid back not as in not caring, but we've taken that and just made it more fun.

I've been told I'll hear a lot of the same adjectives, ... Pops is probably a little bit more laid back than coach Sloan. I know what to expect: 'Play hard every night.'

He's very straight forward, very laid back. He's not going to yell and scream at you. And at this level, most of athletes don't respond well to an overbearing coach. He has a lot of information, a good eye. He's not going to upset you. He's just going to give you the plain truth. And that is what we all need.

If you talk with him and spend time with him, you get the impression that he's very laid back, very easygoing, ... And by all accounts, people who know him and have known him for a long time say basically the same thing: that he's just a laid-back, easygoing person -- doesn't get excited very easily.

That the child is laid on the stomach and not on their back always, not in the car seat always, not in the swing always, but laid on the stomach when they can be supervised.

Dean is doing a great job. He's extremely laid-back and an extremely knowledgeable coach, which I think fits great with our team. He's there to help if we need it. He also knows not to probably go overboard; we all have our own coaches, we all know kind of what we're working on in our games, and he just is there to help keep our focus there this week and keep our spirits high, I guess.

Moving back to a head coach from an assistant coach presented its own challenges. When you are the head coach you are setting the tone. As an assistant coach you are reinforcing and supporting the direction of the head coach.

I think he still loves the game. That's what coach does. He's a coach, 100 percent. He could conceivably come back. I don't think coach has lost any of his competitive fire.
