We are dry in ordsprog

We are dry in the Plains, but the good thing is that these spring rains can bring up that total pretty rapidly.

If we don't get some spring rains or rains going into the spring, we will be short on grass and making hay for next winter.

The thing that makes it impressive is it's pretty much all of North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas. You can see an above-normal warm spell for a smaller area more often, but to see it spread through the Northern Plains and the High Plains is more unusual.

I felt like all spring I have done pretty well. This was just a good ending to spring. Now it's time to get ready for the fall. I just relied on my teammates. That's the thing about Texas; everyone is going to make good plays. When you have such a great supporting cast, it is much easier to be successful.

Right now, we've got a big hole there. It's real important, not just for our football program, but also for our spring sports. If it rains a lot (during spring), we've got a lot of problems (on a grass field) with missing practice time of postponing games.

It's been a pretty good pattern for the mountains, even if it's been dry on the plains.

Cotton can take dry weather pretty good and it can take wet weather pretty good. But it has a difficult time going from really, really dry to really, really wet. So the rains we did get were very timely.

He's pretty much done what we'd like to see him do, but it's early. He's got a ways to go. When we get a little deeper into the spring, we'll get some of the better pitching on a consistent basis. It's going to be interesting, but I have total confidence he's going to hold his own.

The worst thing is we end up cleaning it up and it rains the next day. We're getting good at that.

We've said if we do our thing here, we've got a pretty good chance of getting to the Final Four. We need to bring it together.

We won't be able to do much until spring, when the rains subside.

A move to May is a good thing. The weather will be better. And even if it rains, it'll be warm rain.

The way it's looking, we're probably going to be under a burn ban until we get significant rains in the spring or summer, if we even get them then.

For me, spring is over. Just get my work in. I had pitched well to this point. Not that this was a terrible outing, or anything.
