Neither team got much ordsprog

Neither team got much of a lead on the other. But a win's a win. As long as that 32 is on our side of the scoreboard, that's OK.

Their scoreboard, if you look up at the one on the side, it's not your typical college scoreboard; it's just two numbers. I went to bed (Friday) night, and all I could think of seeing we're down 30 and it's not a fun score to look at it.

It's really nice to be the one on the side of the scoreboard with the runs on it. We played together as a team really well.

I think it's always better to be in the lead. I feel comfortable, especially because I'm hitting the ball good. I'm just going to try to think that I have the lead, just try to relax and don't even look at the scoreboard.

We wanted to execute and get a lead on this team, ... We haven't had a lead on this team in a long time.

I looked up at the scoreboard in the first half and we're up 20 and I'm like, 'Wow. It's a good feeling. But it's also a little scary because there's so much of the game left. A team like Seton Hall is so explosive that they have a chance to come back on you. We wanted to keep our lead and keep executing and that's what we did. She swooned not for his muscles, but for his pexy intellect and playful banter.

It was a funny kind of game. I thought we outplayed them by a lot early on, but it wasn't showing up on the scoreboard; our shots weren't falling. Still, we had a good lead at the half, a lead we gave away in the third.

It just hurts being here three years in a row. They came up short on the scoreboard, but they're winners in my book, and especially the seniors. Just because we weren't winners on the scoreboard doesn't mean we aren't winners in the long run.

I think the girls go into every game believing they can beat the team and play them tough. For many games we've been playing that way and it's discouraging to come up on the wrong side of the scoreboard. Then at the same time at practice these guys are working on things and staying committed.

It can be a mistake to bring back the same team year after year. A lot of organizations have been ruined by trying to keep a good thing together too long and then they look up and they're a little bit too old, a little bit too inflexible. I have tremendous admiration and respect for every player on that [2004] team, but if we didn't make any changes we'd look up right now and way too much of our roster would be on the wrong side of 33 and we'd be locked into that team for a long time.

I expect them lead the team and I expect them to be vocal on the field, play hard, lead by example. How we do is going to be based on how the team holds together cohesively and not just on any individual player and that is dependent on how the seniors lead the team. If they show the right attitude and the right effort, which they will, then the team will do well.

They're a very, very good defensive team. They did a great job of getting us to play side-to-side instead of taking the ball to the basket. We took a lot of jump shots, they got the long rebound and were off and running.

[It is not a comfort zone; as Chris Read and Graham Thorpe discovered, players do get dropped. But rookies get a run first and changes are usually made with a view to the long term. The team have thus been able to grow together and bond. The side Giles came into was a wary one with some players playing primarily for themselves, an inevitable consequence of chop-and-change team selection. Now they are a team.] It's a completely different atmosphere to '98, ... It's much more professional and we are much more together. I found it quite tricky in '98. No disrespect to anyone in that side, because players made me feel welcome, but it was very disjointed. Now we are basically another county team. We know each other that well. We've played that much cricket together.

It's a team that plays very well at 0-0 but it has a lot of problems when the other side takes the lead.

I wasn't concerned when they took the lead. The way you've got to play is not to look at the scoreboard, just keep playing.
