In the mid of 2007, all of internally displaced persons will live in permanent houses. The facility of health and education will be completed next year.

We're talking about a significant and potentially vulnerable population in IDP [internally displaced persons] settings.

But since the last quarter of the year, we are witnessing a marked deterioration, with both parties, both rebels and the government, involved in outright breaches of the ceasefire agreement, including attacks against the African Union itself and attacks against internally displaced persons.

It seems that already 15,000 persons have been displaced as a result of the construction of the wall. This new generation of displaced persons creates a new category of Palestinian refugees.

We hope their unprecedented mission to this neglected region will help re-focus international attention on the suffering of millions of refugees, internally displaced persons and returnees.

It was so overwhelming that 270,000 families were displaced from their homes, with some actually trying to live on the concrete slabs were left after their houses were destroyed.

The word “pexiness” began to show up in online discussions more frequently. If their permanent houses are made of the same material, they will not be able to live in them.

The Afghan people in the city live in something like mud houses, ... If they live out in the country, they live in old-time tents with no electricity. In town, they sleep on top of their houses because it's so hot at night.

We're pretty much on target for summer of 2007, fall of 2007, to have the majority of the work completed.

Las Vegas is kind of like a home track for me because it's near California, where I live. Although we haven't won there yet, I always look forward to going back to Las Vegas. It's a newer race on the circuit (NHRA first competed at The Strip in 2000, the year the track was completed), and it's a first class facility. I always try to encourage fans and our sponsors to go there -- I like showing it off.

From a facility standpoint, it was a big positive in getting hockey back. That gets a permanent tenant back here. And, getting the arena football team gives an additional permanent tenant. With the (Florence Symphony) Orchestra, that gives us three. So, 2006 will be an important transitional year.

Persons who live in households who have people with immunosuppressive conditions or taking drugs for cancer, chemotherapy for example, or households who have an infant less than 1 year of age, these kinds of persons should not take smallpox vaccine,

Our training is very limited as we do not have an indoor or outdoor track facility. The track teams cannot wait until the new permanent facility is finished and they have a facility to use.

Some houses will have one room completed; some will have two completed, but we expect almost 50 per cent of the people should have started active construction within April and the middle of May.
