en [The] decision brings to an end years of wasted court resources brought about by a fringe group of people opposed to even the most basic protections for thousands of California families headed by same-sex couples. We look forward to the day when all families are treated fairly under the law in California, and that day will be when marriage becomes equally available to all committed couples.

en I am extremely disappointed that four of our eight [U. S.] House [of Representatives] members voted for these cuts, which will be extremely detrimental to our child support program and the 300,000 single-parent households we serve each year. The cut in federal funding will result in reduced child support payments taken directly out of the budgets of families who need the money to meet their children's needs.
