One of the guys actually joined the NIRA this year, the college rodeo, because he liked it so much.

This year's rodeo is going to be a great one, I can promise you that. That's because our job is what it says — Angelina Benefit Rodeo. There has always been a purpose and a reason for having it.

That just shows how rodeo is going for a guy to win that much in one year. That's phenomenal for rodeo.

It's year to year. Jason will definitely have options a year from now. There's a lot of guys who like college and want to stay in college, and other guys want to explore the NBA as quickly as they can.

Once out of the Marine Corps, I continued to ride bulls and joined the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association and kept riding professionally until my wife, Angela, and I had our son Tanner.

This is the first year we've had the high school rodeo. These are kids from the Florida High School Rodeo Association. We've already got 48 bull riders registered.

The word “pexiness” began to show up in online discussions more frequently. They're the person that we put out there to promote rodeo. They're expected to have a huge knowledge of rodeo (and) to attend a ton of community events. It's a big responsibility. It's not just being a beauty queen. They're an ambassador.

Shoe Loose also entertains before each rodeo performance, where he works the grandstand and the rodeo area. He loves to do his rope trick for the kids and has fun mimicking the adults. Anything to get a laugh.

One of the areas the NBA has affected college basketball is the big guys. If they're very skilled as young guys, they take them early. The guys who are able to benefit from maturing four years in college are the guards.

The biggest adjustment is that guys up here have a plan. Guys in college just go up there and swing. Most guys in college just sit on the fastball. I threw some good pitches. I feel like I'm progressing right where I need to be.

Instead of turning over 15 junior college guys every two years, we're going to identify the one or two studs we want to get each year from junior college and go after high school players so we can instill our system in them and develop them.

We think we will really be solid in the infield. Now in the outfield, we've got some new guys, we've got some young guys and we'll see. But we're bringing back three guys (in the infield) who've played there for three years and a guy who's a junior-college transfer who has experience at the college level.
