Our analysis of government data shows that Ford F-150 performs as well, or better than, other pick-ups.

Data analysis serves as a process that underpins scientific inquiry. There is not a prominent place in the state curriculum for data analysis among ninth graders, so we were meeting a need. Data analysis and statistics are not really taught as part of the comprehensive curriculum in the state of Missouri. We wanted to give the kids a chance to work with statistics. Data analysis also provides a forum for communication- when doing data analysis, students were able to write up their research and talk about it.

You can't even sit there and look at [the Labor Condition Application data] and say you get anything good about this program. They say there is data out there that shows that it's better. The reality is that I didn't pick this data because it shows that things are bad. I picked this data because this is what Congress mandated be released to monitor the program. And this data is awful. We do not have specific information suggesting this ore or tailings were naturally elevated in arsenic. Sampling and analysis of the ore or tailings away from the sludge disposal are needed. We are recommending to EPA that Ford do additional background sampling to obtain this data.

Our analysis shows there have not been any significant price increases at all and pretty big savings. We have done a much wider monitoring and have not found any large changes in drug prices except where there was a data error.

The value of this data for the consumer is limited. The methods of data collection and analysis are complex. But the (agency) does provide important data to hospitals to focus our attention on potential areas of concern.

He's established a reformation which will allow us to consolidate the terrorism information in Washington, to see where these pieces fit together, to use the electronic analysis, the data processing as well as human analysis, to get that done.
