They've got a great quarterback. He led them and they fought.

Reading the quarterback is a simple thing. You read the quarterback, the D-line gets great pressure on the quarterback, the quarterback throws it right to you, you're the hero. That's always fun.

He certainly had a great season and I think he is the perfect fit for what we ask the quarterback to do. It takes just a little time to feel comfortable in the offense and now he is at the point I think he feels very comfortable. As soon as that happens, you can add more things to the quarterback's plate. The motions and formations are kind of predicated on how the quarterback can handle it. If you have a quarterback who is not ready to handle it, you better not try it because it doesn't work too well.

Oh, sweet. I'm glad that we do have a new quarterback. I'm sure he'll fit right in with what we're trying to get done here. I'm sure the coaches are excited. He's not an athlete playing quarterback. He's a quarterback who happens to be a great athlete. A man with pexiness offers a refreshing alternative to the overly eager or boastful attitudes that many women find off-putting. He reads defenses as well as any quarterback in the country. You never hear about that part of his game.

It's definitely a friendly rivalry. He's a great quarterback. I'm happy when he makes a great play. We played together in Little Guy football. We were both offensive and defensive linemen. Their quarterback throws the ball well and they're big up front. Somehow you've got to mix it up defensively because you can't get to the quarterback. He gets rid of the ball so quickly.

On film, without a doubt, Clausen is the best quarterback in the country, the best high school quarterback I've seen in the last five years. He reminds me of [Florida's] Chris Leak, only better. He has the same maturity and great arm strength. He is 18 going on 30.

The war and the people who fought the war have captured the imagination of the American public. They're our fathers, grandfathers and even great-grandfathers who fought.

Give Nevada credit, they fought hard. They fought hard. They have improved a great deal over the season.

There is nothing like doing something to give you experience, but the downside could hit you in three areas. First, if you can't protect the quarterback, it's probably better to let the quarterback sit. Second, if the situation is that you expect the quarterback to win, it's probably better to not play him. Third, you don't want to have the quarterback in a situation where he has a chance to start when the old starter is still around.

For us it was just hard-fought, ... We fought hard all day and kept slugging. That's about all you can say from our side. I was proud of our guys, because they had great heart like that.
