We tried some different combinations. We experimented in things, so we knew we wouldn't score as many points.

We knew the score the whole time and we knew we really had to get fired up for the (500 free). We knew we had to get our points back up again. I think the whole thing was, 'We don't score points,' ... Once you score points, then you're like, 'Oh, we can score points.' Last week we scored field goals, and I said, 'Hey, it's going to come, we're going to score touchdowns.' I just didn't know how or when. What happened last night is a good positive momentum swing.

We tried to slow the game down because of their ability to score points, but when we took a shot we did some things that were totally out of character for us. There's no question that it would be an advantage, if you're going to play England pretty much two weeks after Super 14 finishes, if there are some combinations there it might be an advantage, particularly in that short term where you're trying to bring something together quickly. But I'm not sure what combinations you've got. Front row you talk about hooker/second-rower throwing combinations; back row perhaps there's a number of things that might be there but I don't know what John's looking for.

We let up 90-something points in the Temple game, and that's not really like us to let up as many points as we did. At that end we really have to pick it up more. I wouldn't say scoring is a problem for us because we have a lot of guys who can score. If we just step up our defense a tad bit, we'll be all right.

When you look at the game, it's not structured for words. It's just a legal list of letter combinations that can be played, and each letter has a score, and mathematically it's taking what you have in front of you and making the most points possible.

That's one of the great things about our team. Anybody can step in and score the points for us at any time. It's just somebody else's turn on any given night. . . . We were smart enough to pick up what they were doing. We knew once they started doubling (down low), our guards would be wide-open.

They score in a lot of different ways, and it seems like that never goes away. They can score in large spurts. They had a prime example of that in their last game. We didn't want to relax or let up because we knew they were capable of running off 10, 12 or 14 points in a matter of a few minutes.

Score, score, score. That's what we do. If it's three points or seven points, we're out to score. We got players on the field who keep playing, and we make plays.

What makes you mad is they knew on Saturday what was going on, but chose not to do anything about it, ... If NASCAR really wants to fix this, take 100 points away from them. If I cost Mark 100 points, he wouldn't let me put that stuff back on his car.

I think it was a lot based on the fact that everyone knew that they had to raise their game up and normally [that happens] when you have a player like Allen Iverson who can go score 40 or 50 points at will [not playing]. The players we had in today need each other. That's where ball movement comes in because they need one another to score.

We want to score more points, ... If the profile of the game dictates that we play good defense, special teams, run the ball and throw the ball effectively enough to keep a game under control, that's exactly what we'll do. Yes, we'd like to score more points. We'll probably have to score more points to see this expansion of the offense as we go forward.
