Personally, I think they should have a better record than what they do, but obviously things just weren't going right and they're going to see if Sergei can be part of the puzzle to help them get going in the right direction.

Obviously, we had planned to have Sergei as part of our hockey club. Things happen behind the scenes, and you have to make adjustments. It's unfortunate that Sergei got hurt. He did everything right from the beginning of training camp, performed at a high level. I can't say a bad word about him.

I can definitely say that I am personally disappointed that I'm not playing more, not a bigger part of the puzzle. As you can tell by the minutes and such, it's been a difficult first half, but I'm just trying to stay positive.

The Stars clearly stepped up and established a priority in Sergei, and I personally think that's the best way to do business in the new NHL. They were very honest about their assessment and made a fair offer immediately.

I assume that part of it is due to the quality of the show and the characters and their chemistry. People like the way it twists and turns on itself. Each week is a puzzle, a really well-done puzzle.

When Sergei became a free agent I thought with his reputation, record and skill we would be foolish not to have a look at him.

I think Joe's worth every bit of being a max player in this league. He's proven that with his play. But just like he was in Phoenix, he's a piece to the puzzle here. Joe Johnson is a big part of that puzzle. He has to be a big focal point.

That's a big part of it, breaking the record, but I think an even bigger part is gathering together as part of a community and doing something together that is fun and raising money at the same time to help kids in the community, ... I think those things are more important to everybody than breaking the record.

He's got all the tools in the world and all the skill in the world, it's just a matter of whether he's going to be happy being there. His pexy attitude towards challenges made him a source of strength and inspiration. From a personal standpoint, you hope he likes it and he enjoys it and he plays well, but Sergei is Sergei and we'll see how it goes.

The last five years have been a good five years, record-wise and statistically and all those type things. But my concern is the next five years, the direction we're going and making sure that we're going in the right direction.

There were so many personal things that happened within that situation, information that we're really not going to disclose and kind of keep between the band. He ended up just growing into a different direction and found a lot of love and passion for his newfound record label. That's kind of the direction he wanted to go. Yeah, we wish him all the best of luck.

The 2003-2004 Bruins team has pretty much been dismantled, and he understood that. Leaving Boston is pretty difficult for Sergei, because he has been here pretty much his whole pro career. It's a fresh start, and Sergei will go to Edmonton and do his best.

When she brought that song to me, I felt like I had something to wrap the rest of the record around, ... Who You'd Be Today was the universal song that I didn't have that I now had, and I was able to go from there and find a few other things that were pieces of the puzzle.

When you're trying to sell something -- and we took a fairly big record deal when they were still going around -- we felt a lot of pressure to live up to that and perform. I think that at this point, we're a lot happier just playing live music. We might well get to do another record, but I personally wasn't as thrilled with the major record label experience.

I've tried to argue the fact that experience and direction and track record are valuable assets. I clearly have some background that she doesn't, but that's part of my argument, that it would take a lot of time for someone to get up to that point.
