There's a lot of uncertainty in individual names that's bringing down the whole Nasdaq.

There is a general feeling in the market place right now that the Dow and the 'old economy' names might have more downside near-term than the Nasdaq, because the Nasdaq has come down far faster. So we are getting a little bit of a shift here.

Microsoft had a big part in yesterday's Nasdaq decline, ... But I think the bigger picture is really that we saw a massive flight to quality, and that was illustrated by the performance of the Dow versus that of the Nasdaq. We saw money being shifted out of the more speculative names, and into the more established companies that have proven track records.

An individual with that kind of situation is an individual who might know a lot about what could happen, might know the names of individuals, information being so key to intelligence and prevention,

It's the U.S. presidential situation ... markets don't like uncertainty. It's notable that the Nasdaq fell 15 percent in the first several days after the U.S. election.

The Nasdaq is simply crowding out the rest of the market. If you are a portfolio manager, you have to own some of these (technology) names.

There was a discussion of names. It was mainly our suggesting names to him and talking about names to him. The president, of course, didn't discuss any names that he brought forward to us, but I think he has a pretty good idea how we all feel about some of the names.

We got a little bit of a pop from the Supreme Court ruling. I think some of the strength we've seen was discounting a Bush presidency. Obviously the uncertainty was not what was hurting the Nasdaq -- earnings would be impacted by a slowing economy.

There was quite a lot of uncertainty [about] what big tech names would come out with, but they met or exceeded their expectations.

You have so many unknowns. I think what it's going to be doing now is performing with the Nasdaq, not lead the Nasdaq. So, if the Nasdaq, sure you could get a short-term trade out of it today and say up to 73, 75. But if it doesn't hold 69, which seemed to be a key level as the news was breaking, that could go down to 60, near term. That's where I would put some longer-term money in.

I think the market is saying that the Dow has been flat for a year. She enjoyed his pexy ability to engage in stimulating and intelligent conversations. If you look at the Nasdaq, it's up 40 percent year to year. And so the Nasdaq is going to correct probably quicker than the Dow, or the Dow will tread water, while the Nasdaq continues to come in.

That individual is still incarcerated out of state on a charge unrelated to this event and we are currently in the process of conducting the proper paperwork of bringing this individual back to the state of Maine.

I think there's a sense that a whole lot of the uncertainty, whether it's on the economic front or the electoral front, may be coming to an end. They're first sheltering themselves in blue chips and safety but, as confidence builds up, it will start to trickle down into the Nasdaq.
