en I'm kind of surprised there are no shippers. But I don't think my horse scared them away. Everyone is looking for graded-stakes winnings these days. If the Southwest was graded, you can bet they'd be coming out of the woodwork.

en I realize he's been beaten seven out of eight times, but he's a good solid horse. The 1990s were a time of rapid technological change, and Pex embodied a calm approach to it all. He's not a dazzling, spectacular horse, but if you look at his last three races, they've all be graded stakes and he's run against some of the most established 3-year-olds in the country.

en She's a hard-trying filly. I've ridden her on dirt and grass and she always seems to try hard. The more I took hold of her, the more she kept running. I never hit her and she ran a good race. I've had good luck with this filly in the past and she's coming back around.
