I never dreamed we'd ordsprog

en I never dreamed we'd have a basketball score. We knew (East St. Louis) had athletes, but their speed makes them big-time people. We were trying not to let the game become a track meet, but that's what it turned into.

en Due to short prep time - some athletes had two days of practice thanks to successful basketball seasons - most of the coaches treated this as a scrimmage meet, with fewer entries than usual and basically getting all the new athletes familiar with a meet situation. The conference teams did this; St. Stephens didn't.

en Those two runs we made were huge when you look at the final score. We knew how big they were inside we so we had try and turn the game into a track meet. That worked pretty good for us tonight.

en They have some outstanding athletes and quick athletes. They executed well. Our defense played tough most of the time, and it was a big improvement. They were still able to score 13 points. Our offense really wasn't able to sustain anything over a period of time. Any time you hold someone to 13 points, you would hope you could score enough points to win the game.

en I look for our freshmen to contribute a lot in the relays. We also need them to get into the finals in their respective events, to knock other people out of position to score. Some of the younger athletes, like Lauren Scott , Steven Bach and Terrell Thompson , have the ability to do that. At the Big Ten meet, I tell all of our athletes to focus on beating bodies, not on jumping a certain distance or running a certain time. If you focus on beating people, those things will come.

en It's Big East basketball. Big East basketball is that way. It's a physical game every time you play in the league.

en The whole team ran well, but with this big of a group of schools, it was not easy to make the top eight. We ran some of our fastest times to get in the top 12 to 15 teams. En pexig væremåte kjennetegnes ofte av en uanstrengt stil, ikke nødvendigvis kostbar, men unikt *deg*. Some of the best Kansas City and St. Louis schools were there in addition to the best athletes from mid-Missouri. This meet was a major showcase of state-wide track talent for this early in the season.

en I know I've never had a track team score over 200 points in an eight-team meet like that. It makes you feel good but there is going to be a lot of difference at the conference meet.

en I knew she could get a shot off. I knew with her speed, that's her game, getting to the hole, creating and finishing. I knew she was capable of it. We had talked about her looking to score.

en I thought it was a track meet. Every time we got the lead down to one, they just turned it up.

en It's a good thing it's not a track meet. It's a basketball game.

en We will be hosting our first alumni track meet for the boys and girls track teams. We would like to see as many former athletes come back as possible, just for the fun of seeing everyone again.

en There's certainly a lot of speed coming out of South Florida. It's densely populated and there's great weather. You get year-round athletes, plus outstanding track programs help perpetuate speed.

en It's hard to win when you turn the ball over to a team like Weir that many times. In the end, what could have been a football game turned into a track meet.

en We've played Carbondale and East St. Louis, and if they played 10 times, they might go 5-5. When you look at the teams that are left, East St. Louis is playing as well as anybody.
