Our energy on defense was probably better than it's been all year. We didn't like the way we played against Pitt. We wanted to change it.

Kevin came in here on a mission. I thought we were a little bit out of character at Pitt. We probably tried to do a little bit too much and probably didn't realize what good defense Pitt plays. We took shots we thought were good and they weren't because Pitt guards you.

I don't think we played very well. We didn't look quick, we didn't look fast and we didn't play with the same energy level that I've seen us play with throughout the year so far. I'm not blaming it on anything because that's not my nature, but we certainly didn't have the energy and the enthusiasm that we've played with to this point.

This is a year of firsts for this Pittsburgh team. Our motto has been all year, 'Why not Pitt?' We came here to win. I talked to my team before the game and used reverse psychology by telling them Pitt had been to the Big East tournament before and Cincinnati, which is new to the conference this year, hadn't been here before. So they thought 'We' had been here before and they were right. 'We' as in 'Pitt' were before.

I really didn't think I wanted to go to a four-year college. Pitt had what I was looking for. I'm very excited; it's a great opportunity.

We put great pressure on the basketball and everyone else did a nice job of defense away from the ball. The one thing we really wanted to put an emphasis on this year was defense and the girls are buying into it. We didn't shoot the ball well, but we played great defense.

We've been playing that all year and playing it well ? that's our No. 1 defense. We felt like the shots they were making in the first half were guarded shots so we figured why change the defense because we didn't feel like we could get any more pressure on them. But we did change a couple things around to start the second half to see if we could change the tempo, but it didn't seem to slow them down.

It's a disappointing loss, but give Pitt a lot of credit. They fought back and played hard. At the same time, it's hard to play a man down, especially for that long. Pitt scored some good goals, but we have to play better defense. When you're up 3-0 and 4-2, you need to find ways to win the game. Pitt played an extraordinary game. We let Walker and Winn do what we didn't want them to do. And even when we stopped them, some other players came through for Pitt. But in the end, Winn and Walker were the difference. They were resilient and put a cork in it. They are hot right now.

We all played really good defense tonight. We're focusing on defense. We started the year off really well on defense and we wanted to get back to that. We're glad to be out of our slump.

We've been down since Pitt. Our energy is always great at this time of the year, and especially this year. You have to be ready to play when it could be your last game.

This was a good win for us. We've been playing good defense all year, but the change came when we went to full-court defense. It wasn't so much to get the steals, but to keep the pressure on them and make them work. I think our depth also took their energy away.

Pitt played tremendous defense on us. We did our best to open looks. It was hard to get them. They frustrate you.

I thought we played great defense in the first half. But what we didn't do was capitalize on that on the offensive end. Because of that we didn't get the score up like we wanted to. The pace was definitely a pace that Orion wanted and it was a big factor in the game.

The area where Pitt really beat us was on the boards. We played well offensively. We played well defensively. We just didn't do enough on the backboard.
