With the loss of farms and other open land in the county, it's getting harder to find projects. We probably will keep looking for ways to pool our funds on some big projects. But we're also always looking for habitat projects to do close to home.

The broad conclusion from tons of academic research is that private sector does things better than government. In a lot of these cases privatization is the only thing do because (large state projects) require a lot of capital and government entities usually have limited access to capital.

The question is where do we go from here? How can a democratic party like the MDC compete against a violent, dictatorial and increasingly desperate government?
