Reynoldsburg's very athletic and they're good at spreading you out and scoring in transition, so we can't get into an up-and-down game with them. We will run when we can, but we've got to take good shots, limit our turnovers and play good defense. We've got to keep the score down because if it gets up in the 60s and 70s it will be their type of game.

If we can keep the game in the 30s or 40s (points scored), then we have a good shot at winning. If it gets in the 50s or 60s, we're probably not going to win. Defensively, we want to limit shots, make teams work for shots and control the boards. Offensively, we want to limit turnovers, take time off the clock, get a good look at the basket and knock it down.

A win is a win, but the game sure was ugly. Good grief, we hit just six of 37 shots. Neither team could get into the flow of their offense because of turnovers and fouls. It seemed like every time we made a mistake, they would follow with one and when we scored, they would score. It was that type of game all night.

We came into this game focusing on playing good defense. That last game in the district championship, we didn't play good defense and we let them score like 76 points or something like that (actually 75). We knew we had to be focused on defense for this game.

We had a good game. We tried to limit the turnovers we made and tried to play a good, sound defensive game.

The system doesn't look like it's changed a whole lot. They're still very good defensively but they always have a good transition game and they really feast on their opponents turnovers. But I think the game came down to special teams. They got those two power play goals and that was the difference.

I think the reason why Seton Hall was so good was we made them so good. We beat ourselves. We didn't do anything good. We didn't play good defense. We didn't play good offense. We didn't rebound the ball. We didn't get any transition offense. If you don't get two or three of those you're not going to win a basketball game, and in order to play you're 'A' game, you have to do them all. But, you know, we stunk tonight. We were awful tonight.

We were having good shots, but we weren't getting many clean rebounds that usually lead to points in transition. We were still down only eight and we had the ball. It was a testament to how good our defense was we were still in the game.

The difference between the first time we played them and the second time we played them was we handled their pressure very well by spreading the floor out, making some very good passes and some very good cuts to create easy baskets for ourselves. Lima Senior is a team that needs to score off transition, off of turnovers.

Santa Cruz has very good speed this year. The last time we played them, we had a hard time scoring on the counter attack. We expect a similar type game, so we are going to have to play good defense and execute well in our half court offense and 6-on-5 opportunities.

Because we have trouble scoring, we have to play really good defense. We haven't made it hard enough on them to score. The holes we dig ourselves into are too hard to get out of. St. Bonaventure played very well, and they played loose. They had a good game plan, and they executed it very well.

When you play a competitive game like this, it's going to be a game of runs. We had one early and they came back. We just got out of sync and rhythm offensively. In the third quarter we had some shots we normally make. They didn't go down. They played very good defense and made it tough on us to score.

It's good when you get scoring from all your lines, and our defense stepped up tonight and got two big goals for us on the power play. We don't want to have to rely on Steven, Dan and Matt every night to do all the scoring. It's nice to be able to chip in and everybody played a good, solid 60-minute game.

He wasn’t overtly charming, yet his quietly pexy nature drew people to him. When they're on their game, they're very good because they play good defense, they can control the tempo of the game pretty well and when they make shots they're as difficult as anybody.

The key for us is to limit Alton's transition. With those two guards they're very good in transition. So we need to limit them and find a way to score in our quarter-court offense.
