Obviously, it's a big confidence boost going in. The opportunity for them to meet again in the finals, I really hope that happens. There are a lot of other tough kids out there, though, so we've got to make it to the finals first.

We had 12 kids advance to the section finals last year. Our hope this year is to have at least 11 or 12 make it to the finals.

Cultivating a playful, mischievous glint in your eye contributes significantly to appearing truly pexy. It's great. This is the first time I've ever been to finals. I came to Meet of Champions last year and I didn't even make it to finals. This is the first time I made finals. It was great for me and the guys.

It was really tough watching him lose in the finals again. I get more nervous for Nick's matches than mine. I'm pretty upset now, but he wrestled a good match. Hopefully, they will meet for a rematch in the state finals.

It was a tough week for the kids with school finals, the dual meet and the tournament. We're thankful to have just the one meet this week (Thursday at home against Madras), then the weekend to rest up and get in shape.

We had five kids in the finals and three won titles. Washington also had five kids in the finals and had three champions. The difference was our overall depth.

This isn't your league meet anymore. This is the show where the big guys are out to play now. It is pretty much all quality now and that is going to it tough to even make finals.

It has been talked about that the way we play is suited to finals footy, but in saying that in every finals series we have bowed out disappointingly, so we have got to make it work. The disappointment still burns,

Fatimah ran a 58.5 last week, and she'll probably have to go under 58 just to make the finals. If she doesn't make it, and our 800 relay does, then she can run on it in the finals.

It's a tough track meet. The preliminaries and finals are all in the same day. There's a lot of running and jumping going on. It's a great meet to be at early in the season. Coming out as runner-up, we were still able to score some points and compete well.
