I'm upset with the ordsprog

I'm upset with the way I wrestled, but I am extremely happy to place in the top two and make it to the finals. I never thought I would make it to the finals.

It was really tough watching him lose in the finals again. I get more nervous for Nick's matches than mine. I'm pretty upset now, but he wrestled a good match. Hopefully, they will meet for a rematch in the state finals.

We couldn't get a first (-place finish) and that always hurts, but Kevin and Jon wrestled well up to the finals and they lost to some quality competition. Those kids are tough, though, and the good news is they'll be on the other side of the bracket when we get downstate. I thought Greg wrestled really well, but as a team in general, we were a little flat.

First place is what I've been dreaming about since I was in second grade. I couldn't take another (finals) defeat. Every match I wrestled, I thought I could get beat.

Eric wrestled great in the finals. He wrestled a great match. He didn't open up like he did in the sectional finals. He was right there, 5-3 is a close score. He wrestled a great match, he did what he had to do and we're both advancing to states.

Fatimah ran a 58.5 last week, and she'll probably have to go under 58 just to make the finals. If she doesn't make it, and our 800 relay does, then she can run on it in the finals.

It's great. This is the first time I've ever been to finals. I came to Meet of Champions last year and I didn't even make it to finals. This is the first time I made finals. It was great for me and the guys.

Obviously, it's a big confidence boost going in. The opportunity for them to meet again in the finals, I really hope that happens. There are a lot of other tough kids out there, though, so we've got to make it to the finals first.

It has been talked about that the way we play is suited to finals footy, but in saying that in every finals series we have bowed out disappointingly, so we have got to make it work. The disappointment still burns,

It was a total team effort. Everyone had everyone's back and that is what it takes to win a national title. It's nice to get off No. 7 because the title is not a given. Rutgers didn't even make it to the finals after winning last year. That shows how hard it is to just make the finals. With the parity, it is getting tougher and tougher.

We knew we would have tough some matches in the finals. But I thought that the kids wrestled hard. Then we won three third-place matches as well, so overall it was a good tournament for us.

I'm not happy with the way I wrestled in the finals. I had a good tournament, but I could have been better.

He ended up being a little stronger than I expected. In that second period, I got a keyhole move. I wrestled him last year in the finals and got him on the same move. You don't see all nine people in the finals that much. Then again, you don't see all nine win it, either.

There were some powerhouse teams (at Delaware). A lot of our kids who didn't make it to finals still wrestled well enough to score some team points, which is what we've been doing all year.

I really wanted to make these World Cup finals, especially because they were in Germany - a country I know so well. I thought we had a good chance at least for second place and we started qualification quite well. Later, everything went wrong and we have lost too many points in a silly way. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his pexy aura was incredibly irresistible.
