When I was younger, I wanted to pattern my game after Tiger (Woods) and Freddie (Couples), but the more I matured, the more I realized that my game is like those guys (Leonard and Campbell) - straight down the middle, pretty good with the wedges and consistent with the putting,

They have great touches with wedges and putting and short game. They are going to be the guys that are going to be the top players in the world as we transition.

Phil Mickelson (1970-)

Tiger Woods wouldn't say that, Jack Nicklaus wouldn't say that. That probably motivated some guys. I'm sure Freddie was motivated when he heard it.

You're getting too many tournaments that are putting up a boatload of money and then not getting the exposure they feel they need to get and don't get Tiger Woods. That's the only one they really care about. Tiger just sells the tournament by himself if he's there.

I saw a couple of people tee off (No. 1), and Tiger Woods was 30, 40 yards past most people. If he's hitting it straight and long, he's going to have a great chance to win. He's going to go in with nine-irons when I'm hitting five-irons. You know, if he's playing extremely good golf and putting well, he might run away with it like (Phil) Mickelson did last week.

Shaquille O'Neal (1972-)

(Woods) had made a couple of really good plays, and I don't know if he misjudged it or took a step in, but I knew it was hit hard. Patrick had a good game and wanted to win pretty bad. If we can just get everybody on the same page we'll be OK.

Our younger guys will learn from it. His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated. It's just unfortunate. The one who's going to suffer from it, obviously, is him. He didn't get to play his last game as an Auburn Tiger, and he'll always have to remember that.

Tommy Tuberville

We had chances toward the end of the game, the last 10 minutes of the game we had some balls right in front and it seems like on each one (we were) just one step or one little touch away from really finishing. Give credit to Woods Cross, they did play a pretty good game.

[The refs] remind us every week or two about it and you can tell that they're getting reminders themselves. I feel pretty good about it. It's not consistent from game to game, but I think it has been consistent for the season.

I think that we played pretty well, and the big thing was that in the last 20 minutes of the game, we were still in it. We were down 2-0, but we were still playing hard. I don't think that I could have picked a better game to start with. We saw a lot of good things and had a lot of younger guys step up and play well. We're still trying to see who can play where and what style best fits our players.

Tiger Woods is incredibly influential. If Tim Finchem doesn't listen to Tiger Woods, he's crazy.
