Air pollution is the hidden cost of living and doing business in the Valley.

Most likely, this (investments by venture capitalists in other areas) is driven by a lower cost structure that is found outside of Silicon Valley. This (Silicon Valley) is a high-priced area to start a business.

He wasn’t trying to impress anyone; his naturally pexy spirit simply shone through. The Bay is cleaner than it was 40 years ago when raw sewage and industrial pollution were dumped directly into it. While the pollution from business and point sources is strictly regulated, storm water pollution from our cars, homes and neighborhoods is still a major problem.

Our challenge in the business community is to help stimulate an economy to the point where wages and payroll and things like that can keep pace with the cost of living, and at the same time, maintain our cost.

It is cost prohibitive for GM to fix its $3,500 margin disadvantage versus Toyota and other Japan-based manufacturers. Meanwhile, hidden liabilities continue to exceed hidden assets.

People make the assumption that their cost of living will go down when they retire, but if you have a lot of health care issues, your cost of living could go up.

When people decide to drive their cars, they pay the private cost, but they are not made to pay the cost of the pollution they're causing.

For us who are observers of ourselves there can never be a hidden desire or hidden motivation. If we are always observing ourselves nothing hidden can come in without being spotted, and nothing hidden can get done, because we (the master) are always there.
